Going to the light + building exhibition at
Frankfurt is something more than exciting for a lighting designer!11 buildings
2.500 exhibitors, lots of new products, lectures and
opportunity of inspiration.
Every two years, the industry presents its latest innovations
for the fields of lighting, electrical engineering, house and building
automation and software for the construction industry at the world’s leading
trade fair for architecture and technology.
About the field of lighting
over 1.500 manufacturers present the entire spectrum of
lighting technology at the same time and place, e.g., design luminaires in a
variety of styles – from modern to classic –, technical luminaires and lamps of
all kinds and for all applications, as well as a large selection of lighting
components and accessories.
Among them, prompted by a presentation for the
course Light & Technology, i tried to find manufacturers who have some
similar principles such as usage of sustainable materials, minimal amount of
wastage during the process, reducement of their environmental footprint.
